Why I Started ST;LL Clothing

Why ST;LL Clothing Exists I’ve always wanted something I could call mine, an ambition to create something new for the world. For months I turned over ideas, but I kept coming back to mental health, especially men’s mental health. I’ve had friends who’ve struggled, and I’ve struggled myself at times.

The word “still” spoke to me. To me it means calm, quiet, stationary and it felt like the perfect foundation for what I wanted to create. The name ST;LL Clothing stuck with me. After weeks of sketching logos, I replaced the “I” with a semicolon. It clicked instantly. The semicolon is a symbol of resilience, and it gave the brand its identity. From there, the ideas flowed logos, designs, and the story behind the brand.

When I finally told one of my closest friends about the project, she loved it. That was the first time I’d shared it with anyone, and from that moment, I couldn’t wait to share ST;LL with the world.

What It Means to Me

I used to suffer in silence, believing I was weak for reaching out or asking for help. But this year I realised that talking about what’s on your mind can lift a massive weight. Asking for help isn’t weakness it’s strength.

That’s why “Still Here. Still Going.” isn’t just a slogan. It’s a reminder that even at the hardest times, you didn’t stop. You’re still here.

The Challenges

The hardest part of building this brand has been pacing myself. I throw myself into projects full speed, chasing perfection, and then burn out. With ST;LL, I wanted to slow down. To build it carefully, meaningfully, and present it at its best.

It hasn’t always been easy to stay motivated, but I remind myself that even small steps make a difference. If one person feels supported, or if wearing my clothing improves someone’s day even a little, then it’s worth it.

What I Hope for You

I want people to feel relaxed when they wear ST;LL Clothing like you don’t have to hide who you are or what you’re feeling. But also proud: proud that you’re still here, still going, and still moving forward no matter what you’ve been through.

This blog is part of that mission. Still Here Stories is a platform for honesty a place to share experiences, to show others they’re not alone, and to prove that even in the hardest times, resilience is possible.
